Caring for a loved one can be overwhelming, stressful and time-consuming. Our experienced Elder Care professionals can help, whether it’s assistance with daily living activities, companionship or private nursing services.
VNCC’s Personal Care program is accredited by the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts, a nonprofit organization that promotes home care as an integral part of the healthcare delivery system. Personal Care offers a wide variety of services scheduled to fit the client’s specific needs.
Service are available from 2-24 hours a day and can be utilized on a daily basis as well as several times a week.
Our highly-qualified, compassionate staff is supervised by a registered nurse. We adhere to the Massachusetts Council for Home Care hiring and service standards; all staff members have background checks and are fully bonded and insured. References are available upon request.
Coverage for payments
Payment is generally out-of-pocket but can often be covered by Long-Term Care benefit plans and Veterans Benefits.
Case Management Organization and coordination are the keys to an effective Personal Care plan. Registered nurses schedule and monitor medical care and arrange medical appointments. They also educate patients and families about medications, care, treatments, availability of community services and programs, and serve as client advocates.
Hygiene/Daily Living Personal Care providers offer assistance with showering and bathing, dressing and grooming, medication reminders, nutrition monitoring, assistance with walking, help with home chores and other everyday activities.
Companionship Sometimes family caregivers just need a break so our Personal Care staff members provide respite care for vacations, holidays, special events, etc.).
Alzheimer/Dementia Care Personal care providers have extensive experience caring for Alzheimer/dementia patients and know how to keep them safe, alert and engaged.
Homemaking Personal Care staff members provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping and other essential home services.
Transportation Our caregivers help with shopping, errands, and other daily chores.
Safely Home This concierge service provides assistance to anyone coming home from a hospital stay, nursing home, assisted living facility, day surgery or outpatient care. A VNCC staff member will accompany the client home and make sure he or she is settled and safe. A two-hour minimum commitment is required for this service.
Medical Escort We provide transportation to and from an appointment such as a colonoscopy, day surgery, cataract surgery, dialysis, etc. A two-hour minimum commitment is required for this service.
